Peter and I have had a number of conversations about what we expect the world to look like in 2030 so we can plan and position our future work accordingly.
Am I the only one thinking it's delusional to believe Mark Zuckerberg is some kind of spokesperson for Millennials? Is he a likable or even a liked figure among millennials?
It does seem to be the delusion of someone who considers themself to be a sort of philospher king. I am sure he really does believe that Meta really is on a mission to give "people the power to build community and bring the world closer together." You'd be hard pushed to argue however that their ecosystem of apps has had a net positive impact on the world given how much it's destabilised politics and mental health. Everyone seems to see it except for those at the heart of it.
I have to disagree. I remember that ten years ago I called my family once a month because it cost me money to call on another continent. Today I talk with them every day. I gained a friendship on Facebook. A lot of positive change makers met on these platforms. It's hard to measure that impact but we can't deny it.
There is literally not a single idea in any of these emails. Extraordinary. They don't even understand how to define or grasp the problem, let alone pull towards a solution.
MZ’s belief in VR might end being one of the biggest blunders in business, FB has enough money to cover for it so he’s save for now. But even if you gave those VR devices away for free, the adoption would still be low. Based on that, MZ’s usefulness as a visionary may be more about hitting the jackpot with FB than any real knowledge or foresight. MZ has never duplicated his success like other tech giants such as Musk. I wouldn’t follow what MZ says unless it’s specifically about how he monetized FB.

"I would bet we'll even see a millennial president within the next few cycles by 2032" - Definitely not in 2024 🤣
JD is a millennial 😳
😹😹
If any of you bros can infuse counter psyops against tiktok, then i start taking you seriously.
Those bros invented big tech powered psyops. The amount of cognitive warfare yanks have waged on the world is insane. What are you talking about?

Eye-watering levels of delusion.

Simple. Power corrupts most people. Now I know the US bros are just empire servants. When done right people would become sane by using smartphones.
